Driver/Guide Safaris

This is probably the most exciting development in tourism since the introduction of 4x4 Landrovers back in the 1950's! This is for the informed tourist who knows what he or she wants but lacks the means to do it themselves.

The situation. You have the money, the dreams and the time on hand. You know what you want to do and where you want to travel to. But you lack the equipment, the insider information and the experience. We have the knowledge, the equipment and the experience.

The plan. Share with us your dreams and wishes and we share with you our intimate knowledge and let's plan together to make your ideal safari comes true. Together we plan an itinerary, we do the bookings on your behalf and we meet you at the agreed departure point.

The modus operandi. This is your safari. You plan the accommodation, the food and drinks, the places you visit, the duration you stay and the activities you participate in and you pay for it.  We do the driving, see to the maintenance of the vehicle and equipment and help with the set-up and running of the camp. At your pace we proceed taking into consideration the limitations of distances and situations. Here the inside knowledge of the driver/guide comes into play. 

The cost. This type of safari is not the ordinary "hamburger run" or a quickie in and out of Africa. This is the real thing! The shortest period is 14 days for a safari seeing all the preparations we do beforehand on our time. Then the price is R2, 000 per day. This price includes the salary of the driver/guide, a 4x4 vehicle and complete camping equipment for 2 guests. For each additional person, we charge R250 per day but we limit the number of tourists to 4 persons only. You pay the fuel bill, accommodation, food, entrance fees and all the necessary permits, duties etc. We add nothing so no extra commissions or add-on's that only increases the price you pay eventually.

The pick-up points. We will meet you anywhere in Southern Africa or drop you off anywhere in Southern Africa but this is limited to within 2, 000 km from Johannesburg. For longer trips, we are prepared to meet you or take you even further. You speak to us and we see what we can do!

Conclusion. If you want to go there, if it is possible to get there, if you have the means and the time then we will do it. There is nothing that can stand in the way of you and your dream safari - let's do it.
